Linthicum, MD (Onsite 5 days per week; potential hybrid option in the future)

**Pay Rate:**
$60/hr (W2)

**Position Description:**

Seneca Resources is seeking a
**Solutions Architect**
to join our client’s dynamic technology team in Linthicum, MD. In this role, you’ll leverage your deep expertise in
**modern web architecture, system integration, and data management**
to design and implement large-scale enterprise solutions. You will play a key part in transitioning legacy systems to modern, scalable architectures that support critical mission objectives.

The ideal candidate is a
**hands-on technical leader**
with a strong background in multi-tier web applications, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide architectural oversight, and guide the technical direction of complex IT modernization efforts.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performing
**multi-tier web applications**
.
– Lead end-to-end
**solution delivery**
— from design and development to deployment and optimization.
– Develop and maintain applications using
**Node.js, Java, Spring, and Angular**
frameworks.
– Support modernization initiatives by planning and executing transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms.
– Define and implement
**data modeling, exchange, and standardization strategies**
.
– Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline automation, containerization, and cloud deployment processes.
– Troubleshoot complex system issues and guide technical problem-solving across teams.
– Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in architecture, design, and coding standards.

**Required Skills & Education:**

– **10+ years**
of experience architecting and implementing multi-tier web solutions.
– **10+ years**
of experience in IT system design, build, and deployment.
– **5+ years**
of hands-on experience with
**Node.js**
and JavaScript frameworks.
– Proficiency in
**Node.js, Java, J2EE, Spring, JavaScript, Hibernate, and JSON**
.
– Strong background in deploying applications on
**AWS (EC2, Linux)**
and containerized environments such as
**Docker**
.
– Experience with
**DevOps automation tools**
, container orchestration, and virtualization technologies.
– Working knowledge of
**Test-Driven Development (TDD)**
and tools like
**Selenium, Cucumber, and Protractor**
.
– Experience leading large-scale architecture projects and mentoring technical teams.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

– Experience developing and deploying mobile applications for
**iOS**
or
**Android**
platforms.
– Proven success leading enterprise-level modernization or migration initiatives.
