Job Summary
The Sr. Infrastructure Linux Engineer will be a key member of the infrastructure team, driving the transition from a traditional infrastructure model to an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach. This role involves maintaining and expanding RHEL server environments and, secondarily, managing the Kubernetes orchestration platform for containerized applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of application pipelines and be able to assist with troubleshooting, integrating CI/CD processes with Kubernetes, and automating build and configuration processes for hardware-agnostic BareMetal environments. Additionally, this role requires participation in on-call rotations as necessary.
Essential Responsibilities
Automation and Infrastructure Management:
Develop and enhance automation for Windows/Linux OS platforms, storage, and DB platforms.
Collaborate with development teams to improve and transition their CI/CD pipelines.
Design and build reliable, fault-tolerant private cloud infrastructure following industry best practices.
Utilize cloud technologies and best practices for both on-premise and Azure environments.
Thought Leadership And Collaboration
Serve as a thought leader, driving change across multiple teams towards an Infrastructure as Code approach.
Use automation to reduce operational workloads and support teams.
Manage automated infrastructure configuration using Ansible or similar tools.
Incorporate security best practices within the CI/CD pipeline.
Performance And Operational Support
Identify and troubleshoot performance-related issues on the platform.
Provide operational support for core infrastructure services, including transitioning between traditional and modern infrastructure setups.
Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years in a lead role within a large, containerized environment using Kubernetes as the primary container orchestration platform.
At least 4 years of experience as a power user or administrator on Linux, specifically RedHat or an equivalent distribution.
A minimum of 3 years working with Windows Servers in application support or administration roles.
At least 2 years of experience managing container workloads on Kubernetes, with knowledge of image management, Kubernetes functioning, and registry operations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement
Minimum of 8 + years working in IT or Operations.

3 years of experience documenting standard operating procedures related to system administration.
3 years of experience with cloud-native applications such as Grafana, Prometheus, MongoDB, and Postgres.
2 years of experience automating infrastructure components using Ansible, including server, VM, and network automation.
2 years of experience managing ingress in Kubernetes using NGINX, Istio, and Calico for network policies.
2 years of experience building and maintaining Docker images.
1 year of experience working with ServiceNow for incident and service request management.
