**Job Summary**

This position performs professional program administration work under general supervision. The position exists to carry out the responsibilities of the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) programs, including participation in the review and evaluation of grant applications; planning and preparation for MJSP board meetings; providing technical assistance to program clientele; administering programs in compliance with programmatic requirements, and state and federal laws, policies, and regulations; and providing administrative support for the unit. The incumbent shall be responsible for responding to inquiries about the programs and also assist in the management of an active caseload of grants from each of the MJSP programs.
### **Duties Include:**
* Providing technical assistance to program clientele.
* Administering programs in compliance with programmatic requirements, and state and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
* Compose email correspondence, letters, grant application summaries, and other program materials.
* Manage databases and spreadsheets, modify spreadsheet calculations, sort and extract data, and develop forms and charts.
* Providing administrative support for the unit.

### **Minimum Qualifications**
**To receive credit for your education and experience, your resume should clearly describe how you meet each minimum and/or preferred qualification listed, including dates of employment.**
One (1)* year of experience in program administration, grants management, or other related field as determined by the agency.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or other closely related fields as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience.
Applicants that meet the above minimum qualification will be further evaluated on the following:
Skill in:
* Communication to deliver communications, letters, marketing materials, reports, and data summaries with accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
* Math sufficient to analyze data and budgets, add, subtract, divide, multiply, calculate averages and percentages, and compile for budgets and reports.
* Microsoft Word, Spreadsheet software (i.e. Excel), PowerPoint and Outlook; with ability to do searches on the internet.
* Summarizing information to produce contracts, grant agreements, and reports, with experience in managing data in spreadsheets for calculations, sorting, and creating reports, forms, charts, and mail merges.
Ability to:
* Apply attention to detail to ensure accuracy of program data.
* Maintain courteous working relationships with co-workers and clients and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
### **Preferred Qualifications**
Ability to:
* Multi-task and set priorities while effectively scheduling and managing time to meet deadlines.
* Comprehend information presented, state statutes, laws and rules sufficient to make sound decisions.
* Maintain complex records and to create, prepare and analyze statistical reports from such records.
* Work independently and on a team.
* Maintain and manage logistics of events and travel schedules.
