AS400 Developer

Job Description

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Design, develop, test, and maintain RPG programs on the AS/400 platform.
* Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Perform troubleshooting and debugging of existing applications to resolve issues and enhance functionality.
* Integrate AS/400 applications with other systems and platforms using APIs, RESTful, and SOAP services.
* Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
* Document technical specifications, user guides, and other relevant materials.
* Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and contribute to the company’s innovation.

**Required Skills:**

* Proficient in RPG programming on the AS/400 platform.
* Strong understanding of AS/400 system architecture and operations.
* Experience with database design and management on the AS/400 platform.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Experience MAPICS 6.0 or more preferred.

**Preferred Skills:**

* Knowledge of SAP integration and functionalities.
* Familiarity with APIs, including RESTful and SOAP services.
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
