Automation Engineer (Cypress) and Rest Assured:

Client : Alliant Credit Union

Loc : Chicago

Contract : C2C / W2

Visa : GC / H4 / H1B

Job Description: We are seeking a talented Automation Engineer with experience in Cypress for UI testing and RestAssured for API testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in JavaScript and be proficient in automating end-to-end tests.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for UI testing and RestAssured for API testing.
* Collaborate with the development team to understand application architecture and implement automated tests.
* Use Mocha or Jasmine for unit testing in JavaScript.
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
* Track and manage defects using JIRA or TestRail.
* Generate and analyze test reports using Cypress Dashboard or Allure Report.

Qualifications:

* Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with Cypress for UI automation.
* Hands-on experience with RestAssured for API testing (Java) or Requests combined with PyTest (Python).
* Knowledge of npm or Yarn for build automation.
* Experience with version control systems like Git, SVN, or TFS.
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
