Senior ServiceNow Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer for one of our commercial clients for a 2-year+ hybrid role in Laurel, MD (3 days onsite per week).

Key Details:

– Location: Laurel, MD 20707 (Local candidate preferred)

– Contract: 2+ years (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)

– Work Authorization: USC/GC/H1B (no sponsorship or transfers), no OPT/CPT

– Number of Positions: 2

– Rate: DOE

Role Overview:

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you’ll design, develop, and enhance solutions on the ServiceNow platform, directly impacting business efficiency and user experience. You will collaborate with stakeholders, configure applications, automate workflows, and integrate with other business systems.

Responsibilities:

– Transform business needs into effective ServiceNow solutions

– Build custom applications and configure core modules ITSM (Incident, Change, Problem Management)/ ITOM/CSM/SPM/CMDB

– Develop workflows, forms, and interfaces to optimize user experience

– Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems using APIs and web services

– Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance ServiceNow instances

– Provide support and guidance to end-users and junior developers

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

– 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, scripting (JavaScript, Jelly, AngularJS), and platform administration

– Proven expertise in ITSM, ITOM, SPM, and CSM modules

– Experience with API integrations and cloud computing concepts (Azure is a plus)

– Strong communication skills and ability to translate requirements into technical solutions

– Industry experience with water and wastewater is a plus
